Abstract

You have heard the Buzz, seen the excitement and now it is time for your to try out LibGuides v2. Join us for a hands-on workshop where we'll build and re-work your guides in LibGuides v2. Don’t have the new version yet? No problem, this is a chance for you to learn (by doing) how to create better more impactful guides. We will take a look at different tools and see how to integrate them into your system, saving you time and giving your users what they want!

In this session you will see how to get the most out of your Springy products. Develop Best Practices for your Springshare tools. See how to create assessment tools, forms, gather better instructions statistics, showcase library collections, events and more. You will also get some time saving tips and come up with a plan to better market your products to your users. Attendees should bring their laptops and preselect a guide(s) they wish to work on. Attendees will be asked to do a little bit of homework prior to the pre-conference in order get the most out of our time together. About Michelle: With over 10 years of Academic Library experience, and having presented about libraries and technology over 30 times, Michelle’s workshops are very hands-on, fun and productive. She has designed this workshop with the “Take Away” in mind, so be prepared to leave the session with a plan on improving your LibGuides, creating Best Practices and marketing your tools towards your audience.
